Global map of wheat mega-environments. The map show twelve different mega-environments around the world. Mega environments mapped according to: Braun et al., Multi-location testing as a tool to identify plant response to global climate change. In M. P. Reynolds, (ed.) Climate change and crop production. CABI Climate Change Series, U.K. pp. 115-138. 2010.
Several introgression lines carrying the BNI translocation, together with their respective recurrent spring bread wheat parents, were multiplied for distribution at CIMMYT’s Mexicali station. To confirm the presence of the target translocations and to verify line purity and genetic relationships, all materials were fingerprinted using the mid-density 3.9K TaDArTAG v2 genotyping panel in combination with KASP molecular markers.
Preliminary yield and agronomic trial data collected from 6 different trials carried out in the 2024/2025 season at CENEB Obregon field station. Trial 1,2 and 3 comprise of CIMMYT spring wheat introgression lines carrying the I chromosome from Leymus mollis while Trial 4, 5 and 6 comprise of lines carrying Leymus racemosus T3BL.3NS with BNI activity, H chromosomes also from L. racemosus, and some lines with the I chromosome from L. mollis.
This was a survey data collected from Ethiopia to assess the preference of men and women farmers for wheat traits and the sources of seeds in wheat production systems.
Breeding analyses may include pedigree information and genotypic data. The wheat data in this dataset were used to asssess the accuracy of genomic predictons when the pedigree or genetic similarity matrix is combined with the genomic similarity matrix. This study included 5 single-environment models 5 multi-environments models with genotype-by-environment interactions (GE). The results of the analyses are reported in the accompanying article.
This dataset includes experimental data collected from a long-term field experiment conducted over 20 years (1999-2019) in a semiarid region of central Mexico. The study focused on evaluating the effects of various soil management practices—including the use of permanent beds, crop residue management, and tied ridges—on the yield and profitability of maize (Zea mays L.) and wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) under rainfed conditions. The dataset includes: Grain yield data for maize and wheat, Biomass production measurements, Information on soil management practices applied during the experiment.
